South Dublin’s Councillor, Jim Daly, has ambitions for his county during his term of office.
The Rathcoole native has specified economic, social and cultural development as high on his list of priorities.

Jim Daly has said he will strongly support the provision of community and social infrastructure facilities.
He wants to improve the quality of life for residents, and welcomes the provision of water leisure
facilities, libraries, and enterprise and community centres.

South Dublin County Council’s Jim has also said he will press for further investment for the areas covered by the RAPID programme.

Jim Daly believes in a proactive approach in the area of economic development. He sees this as the key to
providing much needed investment for areas such as tax incentive sites in Tallaght and Clondalkin town centres.

The development of the infrastructure of the area is of great importance also as it will increase its marketability thereby creating employment for local communities.

Jim Daly is also demanding action in the promotion of South Dublin County as a tourism area.
He feels general amenity development is of utmost importance.

I will be looking for increased action on dereliction, litter control and amenity development generally throughout the county.

Councillor Daly appreciates that South Dublin County is much more than one electoral area and promises to
represent the whole county equally.

I look forward to working with the County Manager, Joe Horan, and ha corporate management team, and to representing the views and aspirations of the council members for the betterment of the whole county and its people.

Thank You.
Cllr Jim Daly (Fianna Fail)
